Creating The 'Loop'
What is a hub location on the web? Essentially, website owners and administrators need to establish their own online 'hub' which is usually their primary website or blog, and used to connect online marketing activity and channel or 'funnel' web traffic back to the hub location for maximum hub exposure. Just as a an internet/ethernet service provider is a hub that connects a multiple of ethernet devices together to make them act as a single network segment, you want to connect your own core network of social media and professional networking sites by distribution of your website articles or blog posts and linking each of those network post connections back to your hub location...your primary website or blog.
By establishing those connections, keyword infused and hashtag energized article or blog content and social and professional network posts and links back to your primary site, carrying forward the same keywords and hashtags to each connection enroute in the loop , you will begin to see a powerful pattern and interconnected relationships developing throughout this dynamic loop that lead to increased brand recognition and engagement including sharing your posts, increased web traffic to your primary website or blog, interactive engagement and new customer/client relationships beginning to develop, new sales activity burgeoning from that funneling traffic. Booyah!!
As you repeat the funneling cycle through your 'loop' of connections online seeds are planted and the more your targeted audience sees your news, your blog posts, your shared wisdoms and your authority level through shared expertise they begin to develop a sense of brand recognition for your products or services....in essence, your signature online! Well there's got to be a medal for that right?!
Social Media Post Design & Implementation
Research to find your own core keywords that will identify in singular or phrased keywords and anchor text in combination with linking back from your social and professional networks to your primary website or blog, your hub. The Google Adwords Keyword Planner Tool is an excellent resource for finding the best possible keywords for your type of business or marketing endeavour.
Every single word you implement on your socials and pro networking locations MUST be carefully planned and orchestrated through dynamic posts that capture attention and pull readers back through the funnel stream to your home base...your website or blog.
Make sure you test different keywords and hashtags by carefully targeting your audience and monitor success and shortfalls in engagement results through thorough analysis of your socials analytics. There are critical clues within that analytics data that will tell you who is taking notice, where they are, their age demographics, likes and dislikes, their language, their vocations (if they have reported same) and more.
Dynamic Results From The Loop
As you begin to capture a feel for key ingredients for your branding recipe the positive indicators should be reflected in the individual post and analytics data. In the past week my socials post impressions, Twitter in particular, have shown tremendous gains in reader engagement, favorites and retweeting. I am now seeing single post impressions activity now surpassing an 2,200 within 48 hours. There's no getting around the amount of work involved in achieving those numbers but following is a summary of chronological steps to help increase your own social media and professional network brand marketing results:
- Create a highly informative, engaging article on your primary website or blog with quality content. Ensure that your article content is infused with keywords/keyword phrases with a targeted keyword density of not more than 3% (3 keyword occurrences per 100 words of content) including title and body text. Yes, make sure you incorporate your keywords into your article title as well. Be very careful to ensure that your keywords, keyword phrases and anchor text read back naturally within the context of the sentences/title that they are contained in and that they are fully relevant to your article subject matter, otherwise you run the serious risk of being penalized by search engines for spam-like activity or 'keyword stuffing...your website/page ranking could be seriously affected/downgraded for such activity and your site will likely not appear highly placed in search engine results pages (SERP'S).
- Post on your social media and professional networks including those keywords highly relevant to the post and your website/blog and link back to the originating article or blog on your primary site location. Remember to carry forward the same keywords and hashtags throughout the 'loop' to create a commonality, a bond between your various network locations and primary website/blog. In turn search engine crawlers will begin to pick up on those common elements and your various points of connection within the loop and beyond begin to show in search results.
- Run organic test search engine queries often to see how your primary website (and other associated online presence) is positioned on the search engine results pages. If your site is visible in the results but only on Page 2 or beyond you will need to keep modifying your search engine optimization efforts until your site is found on Page 1 of the search results. Statistically, people searching only rarely look beyond Page 1 for websites/blogs to click through to. They do not have the patience nor the sense of compelling to look past Page 1. That is a reality you must focus on and work towards first page search results.
- Perhaps most importantly...always stay focused on your brand, your signature and produce high quality content that informs, engages and incorporates highly effective calls to action that compel your visitors to contact you to find out more.
